Postgres Sandbox - An AI powered Database Builder

What is this?
Postgres (the most popular open source relational database management system (RDBMS) running in a browser with a modern, AI empowered assistant interface).
Why this matters.
This is a “2nd generation” looks like. Leveraging a number of recent technical advances such as webcontainers, WASM compilation of existing software (postgres) and existing user interface libraries, AI is used to glue them together.
In a way this is “Claude’s artifact window” for database people and it’s very effective. The productivity gain on tasks like schema generation, test data management, etc significant.
In our testing, “Create me a Learning management system” generated a state of the art schema with proper relationships and keys set up and populated correctly with test data.
The primary takeaway here is that even as very general chatbots are disappointing investors and many users, purpose built, AI empowered experiences are extremely powerful and already have significant productivity impact
But can it build a sustainable business?
That is less clear. These extremely useful products have very little moat in this new world and in all likelihood a large provider, such as AWS acquiring the startup and technology before inference cost kill them is the likely outcome
